Church of Saint Adalbert, Catholic parish church in Čtyři Dvory, České Budějovice, Czech Republic

The Church of Saint Adalbert is a longitudinal church built in 1938–1939 in České Budějovice, with an asymmetrically placed tower. Its front wall carries a large wooden cross and carved wooden figures of Saint Adalbert and Prussian warriors by Josef Vítek, and the nave has a monolithic concrete ceiling.

Construction was requested by the local church committee on 1 September 1937. The church was built in 1938–1939 to a design by Prague architect Jaroslav Čermák, with the České Budějovice builder František Stašek supervising the work. The parish of St. Adalbert was established in 1990 and is administered by the Salesians.

The church carries the name of Saint Adalbert, a figure from early Czech religious history. This naming reflects a connection to the spread of Christianity across Central Europe.

The church stands on Emy Destinové street in the Čtyři Dvory district, near the University of South Bohemia campus and the Czech Academy of Sciences institutes. Mass is held daily except Monday, so visiting around service times is the surest way inside.

The church has a monolithic concrete ceiling over the nave, unusual for a 1930s church. The front wall carries a large wooden cross with carved figures of Saint Adalbert and Prussian warriors by sculptor Josef Vítek.
