Svatojánský most

Svatojánský most is a stone bridge crossing the Morava River in Litovel with a solid arched structure built in the late 1500s. It connects both riverbanks and provides access to pathways along the river and to swimming spots nearby.

Built in 1592, this was the first stone bridge in Moravia and marked a major step forward in regional construction methods. It ranks among the oldest surviving bridges in the country and reflects the technical advances of that era.

The bridge sits at the heart of Litovel's old town and shows how this place was once an important trade hub. Walking across it today, you can feel how central this crossing has remained to daily life here.

The bridge is easy to reach and serves as a natural starting point for walks along the Morava riverbank. The area is well-suited for pedestrians and offers straightforward access to surrounding paths and rest spots.
