Hvězda chapel

Hvězda chapel is a baroque building made of sandstone in Hlavňov with a star-shaped floor plan. The interior features elaborate stucco work on ceilings and walls, complemented by marble elements that display characteristic features of Bohemian baroque religious architecture.

Architect Kilián Ignaz Dientzenhofer designed and constructed the chapel between 1724 and 1725 during a period of increased religious building activity in Bohemia. Its creation reflects Italian baroque influences that were spreading through Bohemian architecture during that era.

The chapel takes its name from its star-shaped floor plan, visible from above. This unusual layout makes it a distinctive religious space that visitors can still appreciate today.
