Červené Janovice Castle

Originally built as a Gothic fortress in the first half of the 14th century by Jenc of Janovice, the structure underwent substantial changes during the 17th century.

The Jenštejn family derived their name from this castle, which was initially called Jencenstein, meaning 'Jenc's stone' in reference to its founder.
