Velké Hoštice Castle

Velké Hoštice Castle is a neoclassical building with symmetrical facades and classical architectural elements such as columns, domes, and detailed stone ornaments. The main structure displays the typical features of this style with regular proportions and carefully crafted embellishments.

The estate changed hands several times before Count Ignác Dominik Chorynský inherited it in 1754 and began constructing a Baroque castle. Following a fire in 1765 that damaged the building during its construction phase, it was restored and completed.

The building takes its name from the village where it stands and serves the community today as a gathering place for events and exhibitions. Visitors can observe how it functions in local life and what purposes it serves for those who live nearby.
