Dvořákova stezka

Dvořákova stezka is a walking path of about 2.5 kilometers along the left bank of the Vltava River between Kralupy nad Vltavou and Nelahozeves. The route passes sandstone rock formations and mature trees that shape the landscape and connect the two towns.

Young Antonín Dvořák walked this path regularly during childhood between his birthplace in Nelahozeves and relatives in Kralupy nad Vltavou. This route became part of his early experience and left impressions that later appeared in his musical works.

The path connects places linked to Czech musical heritage and passes by locations tied to composer Antonín Dvořák's life and family. Visitors can walk through the landscape that shaped the young musician and understand how this river valley held meaning for his childhood.

The path is accessible year-round and can be reached from train stations at both ends, making it easy to plan a visit. Benches are placed along the route to rest and enjoy views of the river while exploring the area.

The trail features climbing spots on sandstone walls and railway tunnels cut into the rock face alongside the river. Nearby Marina Vltava provides boat rentals, offering another way to experience the same stretch of water from a different angle.
