Hollar Gallery, Gallery in a university building in Old Town, Prague, Czech Republic

The Hollar Gallery is a civic building along Smetanovo nábřeží that contains multiple exhibition spaces focused on graphic arts and printmaking. The rooms display both contemporary and historical works created through various printing techniques.

A municipal courtyard with a lime kiln and brickworks stood on this site in the 16th century. The present building was erected in 1846 to a design by Josef Kaura, with the concept probably by Bernard Grueber. After 1990 it became the seat of Charles University's newly founded Faculty of Social Sciences, and the Hollar Gallery returned to the Hollar association.

The building is shared by Charles University's Faculty of Social Sciences and the Hollar Gallery, run by the Hollar association, to which it was returned after 1989. The name recalls the association's link to the painter and etcher Wenceslaus Hollar.

The gallery welcomes visitors throughout the year with rotating exhibitions and sits in a central location within the Old Town. The site is easily accessible on foot and located near other museums and galleries along the river.

The building was damaged by a gas explosion on 29 April 2013. The Hollar Gallery, run by the Hollar association, was returned to its management after 1989 and occupies part of the building between Smetanovo nábřeží and Divadelní street.
