Watermill in Slup, Watermill in Slup, Czech Republic
The Watermill in Slup contains four large water wheels measuring 4 to 5 meters that power ten different grinding mechanisms for processing grain.
Built in the 16th century and renovated during the 17th century with Renaissance elements, this structure operated as the largest watermill in Moravia.
The Technical Museum exhibition within the residential section demonstrates milling technologies from the Stone Age through modern industrial methods.
Visitors can explore the mill from April through October, Wednesday to Sunday and holidays, between 9:00-12:00 and 13:00-17:00, with entry tickets at 80 CZK.
The mill features four complete production setups, including an old Czech composition, millet processing, American milling, and roller mechanisms for grain processing.
