The equestrian statue of Jan Žižka stands in a park south of Přibyslav Castle, above the Sázava River, not in the town square. The 290 cm high and 300 cm long sculpture is a reduced version of Bohumil Kafka's model for the Vítkov monument in Prague.

The monument commemorates Jan Žižka, a military commander who led the Hussite forces in the early 15th century. His armies won many battles against foreign crusaders who invaded Czech lands.

The Přibyslav statue is one of the smaller models made by sculptor Bohumil Kafka, who was commissioned in 1931 to create the Žižka monument for Vítkov in Prague. It was unveiled here on 22 September 1957, seven years after the Vítkov statue. The Roman Podrázský educational trail passes the site.

The statue stands in a park south of the Přibyslav castle, above the Sázava River, not in the town square. The NS Roman Podrázský educational trail runs past it, so it can be combined with a walk along the marked route.
