Hořidla, uitkijktoren in Tsjechië
Hořidla is an observation tower in Litoměřice District in the Czech Republic, standing on a hilltop at approximately 371 meters elevation. The metal structure reaches 14 meters in height with 67 steps leading to an open viewing platform that overlooks the surrounding landscape.
The observation tower was built in 2008 by Atlas Steel company, with support from the local municipality of Chotiněvs and the Ministry of Finance. The official opening ceremony took place in December that year.
Access to the tower is only on foot via paths through fields or forests from several starting points such as Chotiněvs, Jištěrp, or from the road between Třebutičkami and Encovany. The tower is freely accessible year-round and can be visited at any time.
On clear days from the platform you can spot distant peaks including Radobýl, Lovoš, and Ještěd, with the Říp mountain visible even further away. The view extends considerably when weather permits, offering a sweeping panorama across the central mountain region.
