Kostel Matky Boží Na Náměti, Gothic church in Kutná Hora, Czech Republic
The church features a rectangular three-story tower with a polygonal presbytery formed by five sides of a regular octagon at its western facade.
After a lightning strike destroyed the church in 1470, stonemasons from the St Barbara's workshop rebuilt it under the direction of Matthias Rejsek.
The interior displays a late Gothic altar with paintings by Diviš of Litoměřice, including the central piece depicting the Assumption of the Virgin Mary.
The church maintains regular visiting hours, with annual visitor numbers increasing from 1,852 in 2019 to 17,898 in 2022 according to official records.
The southern staircase contains two spiral staircases running in opposite directions, allowing simultaneous ascending and descending movements.
