Chapel of Saint Anne, Religious chapel in Horní Údolí, Czech Republic.

The Chapel of Saint Anne in Horní Údolí, part of Zlaté Hory, is a ruined chapel also called a church. Its roof, truss and nave ceiling collapsed in 1996, and much of the presbytery vault fell in 2009. Since 2016 the association "Horní a Dolní Údolí" has restored it with a new roof, its upper part covered with glass panes.

The chapel served as a shrine for miners and was one of the starting points for pilgrims walking about 6 km to the Maria Hilf pilgrimage site. Its roof, trusses and nave ceiling collapsed in 1996, and a larger part of the presbytery vault fell in 2009, leaving a ruin. The association "Horní a Dolní Údolí" began repairs in 2016, giving it a new roof with glass panes in its upper section.

Horní Údolí was one of the starting points for pilgrims walking about 6 km to the Maria Hilf shrine of the Virgin Mary Help of Christians. The chapel served the miners of the Zlaté Hory area, and its dedication to Saint Anne, patroness of miners, reflects that link. Since 2016 the association "Horní a Dolní Údolí" has used the repaired building for concerts and a planned permanent exhibition of artists.

You can reach the chapel by following marked hiking paths from Zlaté Hory, with parking available close by. The ground around the building is easy to walk and the trails are clearly marked throughout the area.

The chapel's roof, rebuilt after 2016, has glass panes in its upper section, modelled on the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Neratov. The collapsed vault over the presbytery fell in 2009, thirteen years after the roof and nave ceiling came down in 1996.
