Nature reserve Králova zahrada protects a waterlogged alder forest in the floodplain below the Kozlovský ridge near Opatov. The stream valley lies on Upper Cretaceous sediments of the Březno and Teplice formations, covered by Holocene alluvium with waterlogged soils.

Králova zahrada is a nature reserve near Opatov in the Svitavy district, registered under number 1685 and administered by the Regional Office of the Pardubice Region. Its protection covers a complex of waterlogged forest ecosystems with an abundant occurrence of the spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum). The reserve ranks among the largest spring snowflake sites in the Svitavy area.

The reserve is named Králova zahrada, "the King's Garden", though no palace garden ever stood here; the name's origin is not recorded in the sources. Visitors come in early spring for the mass flowering of the spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum), the largest such site in the Svitavy region.

The reserve lies near Opatov in the Svitavy district, in the floodplain of a stream below the Kozlovský ridge. Access is on foot; the wet alder stands and waterlogged ground make waterproof footwear advisable, especially in spring when the snowflakes flower.

The reserve holds one of the largest stands of spring snowflake (Leucojum vernum) in the Svitavy district, flowering in the waterlogged alder forest. Because the ground stays wet, Norway spruce descends here to an unusually low altitude, close to the stream under the Kozlovský ridge.
