The Království reserve spans 301 hectares of floodplain forest between the Morávka River and the Olomouc-Přerov railway line, featuring diverse ecosystems of wetlands and woodlands.
In 1267, King Přemysl Otakar II granted the forest lands to the city of Olomouc, with additional forests received from King Václav III in 1306.
The reserve hosts educational programs focused on environmental protection while serving as a center for scientific research and ecological documentation.
