Church of Saint John of Nepomuk in Kutná Hora

The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk is a Baroque place of worship in Kutná Hora built with a circular floor plan supported by ten pillars and topped with a vaulted ceiling. The interior features multiple symbolic architectural elements that give structure to the entire space.

Construction of the church began in 1719 under architect Jan Santini Aichel and was completed in 1727. Following a fire in 1784, the building underwent later modifications.

The church incorporates the number five throughout its design, referencing the five stars that legend says appeared in the sky after Saint John of Nepomuk's death.
