Gothic Stone Fountain, Gothic fountain in Rejsek Square, Czech Republic
The Gothic Stone Fountain in Rejsek Square is a twelve-sided structure made of carved stone blocks with Gothic details and considerable height. The careful stonework and pointed arches are characteristic features of this medieval construction.
The fountain was built in 1495 to address water shortages during the silver mining era when the city was growing rapidly. A pipe system brought water from a distant source into the town center.
