Maria Rast am Stein, Marian pilgrimage site in Vyšší Brod, Czech Republic.
The granite building includes the Chapel of Our Lady Snow, an art gallery in the original chapel, and the Chapel of the Holy Sepulchre.
In 1844, local residents discovered an image of Our Lady Snow at the location where Virgin Mary and Jesus were said to rest.
Four annual pilgrimages take place at Maria Rast am Stein, following religious celebrations of the Visitation, Assumption, and Nativity of Mary.
Visitors can reach the site via two marked hiking trails from Vyšší Brod-klášter railway station: a green trail through the square or yellow trail along Menší Vltavice stream.
The path features fourteen Stations of the Cross with cast-iron images in stone chapels, leading to an impressive Holy Sepulchre built on a rock beneath the chapels.
