Zámek Lázeň, Empire style château in Chudenice, Czech Republic.

Zámek Lázeň is a single-story château built in the Empire style with a rectangular form and balanced composition. It features projecting risalits, columned porticos, and an elliptical floor plan that gives the structure its distinctive character.

The building was designed between 1666 and 1668 by Italian architect Carlo Lurago and served as a summer residence for Count Humprecht Jan Czernin of Chudenice. It became a center for intellectual life in the 19th century when notable Czech scholars visited regularly.

The name "Zámek Lázeň" refers to its past as a spa retreat and wellness destination. Visitors can experience how the space still reflects this relaxation-focused heritage through its layout and use today.

The château is located along a marked walking route and currently houses a restaurant for visitors. This location makes it easy to include in a broader regional itinerary while exploring the surrounding area on foot.

The upper hall receives light through a distinctive lantern system built into the ceiling that illuminates the space in an unusual way. A crescent moon decoration adorns the roofline, adding a playful astronomical element to the building's appearance.
