Nostitz Palace, Baroque palace in Lesser Town, Prague, Czech Republic.

The palace features a grand facade adorned with statues of emperors on the balustrade and ornate stucco decorations across its exterior walls.

Count Jan Hartvig Nostitz commissioned the construction of this palace between 1662 and 1675, replacing four older houses on the Maltese Square.

The palace contained a notable gallery that formed the basis of the National Gallery in Prague and maintains a library of 15,000 volumes.

The Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic occupies the building, which visitors can reach via trams 12, 20, 22, and 91 at Malostranské náměstí.

Architect Francesco Caratti designed this palace following similar architectural principles he applied to the Cernin Palace in Prague.
