Měšťanská beseda is a cultural venue in Jižní Předměstí featuring Renaissance Revival architecture with a symmetrical facade and central risalit spread across three stories. Inside, it houses cinema, theater spaces, and facilities for hosting different types of events.
The building opened in 1901 based on a design by architect Alois Čenský, who won a competition for the project. The organization itself was founded in 1862 as a gathering place for the upper classes of society.
The building hosts multiple performance spaces that regularly feature concerts, exhibitions, and theatrical shows. Visitors experience the city's cultural life through diverse artistic programs offered throughout the year.

The basement contains Divadélko JoNáš, a small theater with about 80 seats that offers performances in close proximity to audiences within historical surroundings. This intimate space opened in 2002 and creates a special viewing experience.
