Sluneční zátoka

Sluneční zátoka is an inlet along the Sázava River where the water curves naturally and is bordered by forested banks. The site features an open meadow that slopes toward the water, with trees providing shelter around the edges.

The site was established in the early 1900s by writer Jaroslav Foglar as a camping location for his youth organization. This early use shaped the place as a center for outdoor education and recreation.

The name 'Sunny Bay' reflects how locals perceive this sheltered spot along the river. Families and groups gather here for outdoor gatherings and water-based activities throughout the warmer months.

The best time to visit is from June to August when organized activities and camps take place on site. Visitors should check ahead as the location may be reserved for group activities and specific programs.

The location is named after the sunny aspect of this part of the bay. The water's natural shape creates a protected zone that is visibly separated from the main river flow.
