Přírodní park Orlice, Nature park in Ústí nad Orlicí and Rychnov nad Kněžnou Districts, Czech Republic
The park extends across 114 hectares of land, encompassing river valleys, forests, and meadows along the Tichá, Divoká, and united Orlice rivers.
Established in 1996, the park emerged as a response to protect river ecosystems following the agricultural collectivization period of the 1970s and 1980s.
The park connects multiple rural communities where traditional Czech farming practices and local customs continue to shape the landscape management.
Visitors can access the park through marked trails that follow the rivers, with entry points near Mladkov village and the Zemská brána geographical formation.
The Orlice River maintains its natural flow patterns without regulation, creating specific ecological conditions that support endangered species like European otters.
