Ústí nad Orlicí District, Administrative district in Pardubice Region, Czech Republic
Ústí nad Orlicí District is an administrative area in the Pardubice Region of East Bohemia. It spans approximately 115 municipalities with terrain varying from plains in the west to mountains in the east near the Polish border.
The district took its present form through administrative changes in modern Czech history. The region held importance in medieval times as a connecting route between the historic lands of Bohemia and Moravia.
Villages across the region celebrate local traditions through regular festivals featuring traditional music and handmade crafts. These customs shape community life and give each town its own character.
The district is well connected by roads and railway lines, making travel between towns straightforward. Ústí nad Orlicí serves as the main administrative hub where most services and facilities are located.
The mountain Králický Sněžník in the district marks a special geographical point. Waters flow from this location toward three different seas: the North Sea, the Baltic Sea, and the Black Sea.
