Sky Bridge 721, Suspension footbridge in Velká Morava, Czech Republic
Sky Bridge 721 is a suspension footbridge in Velká Morava that connects two mountain ridges across a deep valley. The steel structure measures about 1.2 m (4 ft) wide and floats roughly 95 m (310 ft) above the floor of the Mlýnský Stream valley.
Construction began in 2021 and ended a few months later with the opening to visitors. The structure surpassed the previous world record length for a suspension footbridge at that time.
The name refers to the length of the structure, while information panels along the way tell stories about the landscape and past decades. Hikers often use the crossing as part of longer tours through the mountains, pausing at the displays.
Visitors reach the bridge through the mountain resort of Dolní Morava, where parking areas and other facilities are located. Crossing requires steady footing and may be closed during strong winds or adverse weather.
The bridge connects two peaks at different elevations, so the path rises gently during the crossing. Walkers often notice the gentle swaying of the structure beneath their steps, especially when several people are crossing at the same time.
