Dolní Morava, Mountain resort village in Ústí nad Orlicí District, Czech Republic
Dolní Morava is a mountain village at about 615 meters elevation in the Králický Sněžník Mountains near the Polish border. The settlement offers ski slopes between 650 and 1,232 meters altitude and trails for cross-country skiing.
The village was first documented in 1577 and experienced major changes after World War II. As the German population departed, Czech settlers moved in and reshaped the community.
The Church of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga shapes the village center with its neoclassical design and stone saint statues. It remains an important place where residents gather for worship and local celebrations.
Winter visits are rewarding for well-maintained ski slopes and cross-country trails suited to different skill levels. In warmer months, visitors can explore the mountain hiking paths and the Sky Bridge 721.
The Sky Bridge 721 is a suspension footbridge spanning 721 meters and ranks among the world's longest pedestrian bridges. It connects two mountain peaks and offers sweeping views of the surrounding highlands.
