Riegrovy sady is a park of about 11 hectares in Vinohrady, laid out between 1904 and 1908 by garden director Leopold Batěk on the slopes of the former Kanálka garden and the Saracinka, Pštroska, Švihanka and Kuchynka estates. Its paths follow the contours of the terrain, opening onto broad lawns, and in the northwest part concrete imitations of root edgings, stump-shaped bird basins and stair borders survive alongside historic cast-iron pumps.

Riegrovy sady was established in 1902 under the urban plan for Královské Vinohrady, merging the former Kanálka garden with the gardens of the Saracinka, Pštroska, Švihanka and Kuchynka estates. The garden director Leopold Batěk laid out the park between 1904 and 1908. During the Second World War it was renamed Smetanovy sady and the SS occupied the Sokolovna.

The park serves as a gathering place where neighbors enjoy concerts, watch sporting events, and attend seasonal celebrations together. Weekends and evenings bring families, friends, and individuals who use the green spaces to spend time outdoors.

The park is bounded by Chopinova, Vozová, Polská, Italská and U Rajské zahrady streets, and paths follow the terrain's contours. In the northwest section, look for the original concrete imitations of root edgings, stump-shaped bird drinkers and stair borders, plus historic cast-iron pumps.

The lookout nicknamed Mlékárna was rebuilt as a café; from it and from the park you see Prague Castle, the Lesser Town and the tracks of the Main Station. The park also keeps a three-sided sandstone obelisk called the Bird Obelisk, the remnant of Countess Brigitta Canal's monument from the Kanálka garden.
