Riegrovy sady

Riegrovy sady is a park in Vinohrady with winding walking paths, grassy areas, and tree-lined sections that span multiple levels of landscaped terrain. The design uses changes in elevation to create different areas and viewpoints throughout the grounds.

The park was created in the 19th century as an English-style garden and became central to Prague's urban development during industrialization. Its design reflects the desire to make nature accessible within the expanding city.

The park has multiple entrances from Chopinova Street, with a beer garden operating extended hours during summer months. Visitors should wear comfortable shoes, as the different elevation levels require regular climbing and descending.

From the western side of the park, Prague Castle and the city skyline are visible, particularly from the higher elevation areas. This makes it a favored spot for photographs and enjoying the view across the city.
