The parish existed as a plebania by 1356, with parish registers kept from 1730. It was canonically established in 1737 and elevated to a deanery in 1892. Its seat was originally at the old rectory near the Church of St. Anne, before moving next to the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The parish takes its Latin name Gabloncium from the town and keeps registers since 1730. Its seat stands beside the Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, whose building society was first chaired in 1907 by religion teacher August Zingel, buried in the priests' tomb at the Jablonec cemetery.
