Skryjská jezírka is a nature reserve in Central Bohemia featuring limestone lakes, deep gorges, and narrow rocky formations. The landscape was shaped by geological processes and represents the distinctive geological character of the Křivoklátsko region.
The area received protected status in 1995 to preserve its geological formations and maintain ecological balance in the region. This designation was an important step to safeguard the natural heritage of the Křivoklátsko area.
Local residents from Skryje and Podmokly villages share traditional stories about natural phenomena occurring within the reserve's boundaries.
