The K-S 14 U cihelny casemate is a two-storey concrete infantry blockhouse, not an underground structure: its above-ground fighting floor held two firing rooms with five light machine guns, a heavy machine gun and two 4 cm anti-tank guns, while the lower rear floor housed the 43-man garrison, engine room, air filter and a 9 cm mortar room. It was cast from 29 September to 8 October 1936 using about 2,110 m³ of concrete and 150 tonnes of steel.

Ordered on 9 June 1936 by the Directorate of Fortification Works as part of sub-section Boříkovice, the casemate was cast in concrete by Ing. Jan Matoušek's Prague firm between 29 September and 8 October 1936, using about 2,110 m³ of concrete and 150 tonnes of steel. In October 1940 German troops fired at it from 400, 600, 800 and 4,500 metres to test mortars and a 4 cm anti-tank gun. From 1970 to 1989 it housed a communications facility of the Czechoslovak interior ministry's First Directorate (Operation KAHAN).

Sergeant Arnošt Hrad, born 5 April 1914, shot himself here on 3 October 1938 after the Munich Agreement was accepted, leaving three letters: to his mother, to 12th Company commander Leopold Medek and to his fellow NCOs and soldiers. A memorial hall with a bronze bust by Ondřej Štoček and a plaque unveiled in 1994 commemorate him, and every August the Cihelna event brings military-history clubs and the Czech Army to the site.

Access is available through guided tours from April to October that explain how the facility operated. Visitors should expect tight spaces and dark corridors, and wearing sturdy shoes is recommended to navigate the stairs safely.

The two armoured infantry bells fitted on the roof were removed by the state scrap enterprise Kovošrot in the 1960s, so the cupolas visitors see today are not the wartime originals. The 9 cm mortar room in the lower floor was finished, but the weapon itself was never installed before the 1938 Munich Agreement ended work.
