Church of Saint Gotthard, Gothic church in Slaný, Czech Republic
The Church of Saint Gotthard stands as a triple-nave structure with a presbytery, net vault, and sacristy in the center of Slaný.
Benedictine monks from Ostrov established the church between 1130 and 1150, initially constructing it as a Romanesque basilica before Gothic reconstruction.
The presbytery contains 16th-century paintings depicting Christ and the Evangelists, along with a Renaissance baptismal font from 1511.
Religious services take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 17:30, while weekend masses occur at 09:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
The church retains its Gothic wooden roof structure and western portal doors from the early 1500s, with three historic bells in its tower.
