Originally built as a commandery for the German Order Knights, the complex later transformed into municipal offices and a religious sanctuary.
The church interior contains preserved medieval artwork and religious artifacts that represent regional Catholic traditions of northern Bohemia.
Located at Náměstí 1. máje square, the building serves as both an administrative center and a functioning church with regular services.
The complex maintains its dual purpose since medieval times, housing both religious ceremonies and city government functions under one roof.
