Rychta - Hamousův statek

Rychta - Hamousův statek is a farmstead complex in Zbečno with a wooden residential house and several stone outbuildings. The property includes barns, stables, a granary, and other agricultural structures that together demonstrate how a functioning farm operated in earlier times.

The estate originated in medieval times and developed into a sign of prosperity in central Bohemia. The construction methods using wood and stone, along with how the buildings were arranged, reflect how farms in this region evolved over centuries.

The place is named after its former owner Hamouse and shows how prosperous farming families lived and worked. Visitors can see the spatial arrangement and understand how daily life was organized between the residence and the working buildings.

The site is open from May through September on weekends and public holidays and is best visited with a guide. During tours, visitors gain insight into rural architecture and can see how the different buildings served specific purposes.

Visitors can see traditional bread ovens in action on Saturdays and learn how food was produced on such farms in the past. These demonstrations reveal the practical skills that were necessary for everyday life on a farmstead.
