Klášter u Panny Marie Sněžné, Gothic monastery in New Town, Prague, Czech Republic
The Franciscan Monastery of Our Lady of Snow contains a church with a 34-meter-high vault, making it the tallest church structure in Prague.
Emperor Charles IV commissioned the monastery in 1347 following his coronation, intending it to serve as a coronation church near Prague Castle.
The monastery features ten sculptures from the early 17th century and contains an early Baroque main altar reaching 29 meters in height.
The monastery stands at Jungmann Square in New Town, Prague, with regular masses held throughout the week and guided tours available upon request.
The northern wall displays a Gothic portal entrance decorated with figures of the Virgin Mary coronation alongside Charles IV and his wife Blanche.
