Bukovka, Observation tower in Rapotín, Czech Republic.
Bukovka is a wooden observation tower on a stone foundation built in the hilly terrain of Střední Morava. The structure features a viewing platform that offers wide-ranging views across the surrounding landscape and distant mountain ranges.
The tower was completed in 2016 as a relatively recent addition to this mountainous region. It was built to provide visitors with a new viewpoint for exploring the geology and landscape formations of the area.
The educational trail near the tower introduces visitors to local natural features, including a former quarry and the small cave called Skalní krčma.
Access is via a marked yellow hiking trail from Rapotín leading to the tower's base. Steel stairs lead to the viewing platform, and visitors should allow sufficient time and wear sturdy footwear for the climb.
On clear days, visitors can spot two significant mountain formations from the platform: the distant Praděd tower and the Schneekoppe massif along the Polish border. These distant views reveal the geographic connection between mountain regions.
