Church of the Visitation of Our Lady

The Church of the Visitation of Our Lady is a religious building complex located in Bílá Voda, Czechia, constructed from brick and rubble stone. The site consists of the church structure along with adjoining monastery buildings arranged in traditional regional architectural style.

The complex was founded in 1604. Major reconstruction work between 1755 and 1765 transformed it into its current architectural form.

From 1951 to 1989, the monastery complex served as an internment site holding up to 1,000 nuns from across the country. This hidden chapter in its past reflects a period when the complex became a center of religious resistance under communist rule.
