Church of the Sacred Heart of Our Lord, Catholic church in Terezín, Czech Republic

The Church of the Sacred Heart of Our Lord is a Catholic building with a rectangular form constructed from glazed brick and featuring three entrance doors. The interior layout is functional, combining straightforward religious architecture with practical elements for daily use.

The foundation stone was laid and blessed on 28 September 1930 on the site of an earlier chapel with a bell tower. The church was consecrated on 26 September 1932 by Brno bishop Josef Kupka. Electric wiring was installed in 1943 and heating in 1970.

The church is a filial church of the Hovorany parish. In the cemetery around it stand a mission cross erected in 1943 and a stone cross commemorating local victims of World War I; behind the church is a chapel with a statue of Our Lady of Sorrows, blessed on 7 October 2012 by P. Milan Těžký.

The church stands in the middle of the cemetery, so access is through the cemetery grounds; the missionary cross of 1943 and the stone cross to local World War I victims stand in front of it. The chapel with a statue of Our Lady of Sorrows behind the church was blessed on 7 October 2012 by P. Milan Těžký, and two further chapels near the church were blessed on 22 June 2003 by Mons. Jiří Mikulášek.
