Kravsko Castle

Kravsko Castle is a baroque building with classical architectural features and a chapel set within parkland in the Czech countryside. The main structure houses various rooms and is surrounded by grounds that include a pond and mature trees.

The building underwent complete redesign in 1796 when the Premonstratensian Order from Louka near Znojmo converted it into their summer retreat. This transformation shaped its present baroque appearance and established its role as a monastic refuge.

The castle belongs to private owners today who maintain its historical appearance and character. The religious imagery on its facade reflects the spiritual heritage that shaped the building over centuries.

Access to the castle is limited due to private ownership, but the exterior and grounds can be viewed from outside. The warmer months offer the best conditions for exploring the park area and enjoying the surrounding landscape.

A statue of Saint Aloysius Gonzaga adorns the eastern facade, adding a distinctive religious element to the architecture. This figure is an uncommon feature that illustrates the connection between the castle and its monastic past.
