Lutheran church in Třanovice

The Lutheran church in Třanovice is a modern religious building with cylindrical stairwells on each side that lead to a choir loft. A square belfry marks the northern side of the structure.

Polish architect Tadeusz Michejda designed this building in 1931, when modernist approaches were gaining ground in Czechoslovak religious architecture. The church arose during a period when religious buildings began adopting new, functional forms.

The semicircular seating arrangement lets everyone in the congregation see the altar clearly and participate as equals in worship. This layout reflects how Lutherans value shared spiritual experience rather than a distance between clergy and worshippers.

The church is located in Třanovice and can be reached by car with parking available nearby. Regular worship services are held here, and visitors are welcome to join the local community.

The baptistery and choir each have their own niches beside the altar, showing careful spatial planning. The organ is positioned above the congregation, creating a distinctive acoustic presence in the space.
