Litenčice Castle

Litenčice Castle is a stone fortress featuring rectangular towers, refined architectural details, and a central courtyard from the Renaissance period of the 17th century. The structure combines fortification design with residential qualities, with window frames and portals receiving particular craftsmanship attention.

The structure began as a medieval fortification and underwent major rebuilding in the 1630s under Maximilian of Liechtenstein. This renovation transformed it into a Renaissance residence, merging fortified elements with contemporary living design.

The castle shows Southern Moravian building traditions through its blend of fortification and residential features. The stone carvings and window frames reflect the style favored by its residents at the time.

The grounds are accessible during daylight hours for visitors to explore the exterior facades and take photographs. Visit during good weather to see the stonework and facade details clearly.
