Hotel Quisisana Palace, Five-star hotel in Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic

Hotel Quisisana Palace is an elegant Belle-Epoque villa with 19 rooms featuring balconies, fireplaces, and spa bathtubs overlooking the heart of Karlovy Vary. The rooms include soundproof windows designed to provide a quiet retreat within this historic spa town.

The building was established in 1888 and represents the development of Karlovy Vary as a major European spa destination during the 19th century. It is now officially registered as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The palace sits in the heart of the spa quarter and embodies the Belle-Epoque architecture that defines Karlovy Vary. Visitors can experience the refined interior design and understand how this building style reflects the town's importance as a spa destination in the 19th century.

The house stands on Mariánskolázeňská street directly opposite the Grandhotel Pupp, on the far bank of the Teplá river, in the spa quarter. The entrance sits on the right side of the street facade, flanked by two atlantes that carry the two-storey bay. The building is run as an annex of the Grandhotel Pupp, so guests cross the river to reach the main hotel.

The two atlantes flanking the entrance, and a second pair at the opposite end of the facade, carry a two-storey bay window. Above the cornice, two small towers are joined by an inscription bearing the building's name. The house was built for Anton Pupp's wife Marie and later passed to his grandson Leo Pupp.
