Bartoňova vila

Bartoňova vila is a functionalist residential building in Náchod that features straight lines, wide windows, and open floor plans. The rooms are arranged so that natural light can enter everywhere, and the walls, ceilings, and floors work together to create clear structure.

Architect Pavel Janák designed the building in the 1920s as an example of a new way to live that broke away from older building styles. This time was important for Czech architecture because it showed that people could think differently.

The villa shows how people in 1920s Czechia wanted to live, with straightforward shapes and spaces that welcome light into everyday life. Those who built it believed that good homes come from honest design, not from decoration.
