Palác Tabáková režie

Palác Tabáková režie is a substantial administrative building with three connected wings, four floors, and two basement levels situated in Vinohrady. Its layout features rounded corners, ceramic roofing, and interiors linked by an impressive three-wing staircase that serves exhibition halls and office spaces.

The palace was designed in 1928 by architect Alois Dryák as an administrative hub for Prague's tobacco industry. This era marked the height of industrial activity in the district before the industry's decline after World War II.

The walls feature sculpted reliefs that tell the story of tobacco cultivation and processing through artistic detail. These decorations reflect how the building celebrated the craftsmanship and importance of this industry in Prague's economy.

The building sits conveniently between Blanická and Sázavská streets in Vinohrady, making it straightforward to locate. Visitors can enjoy viewing the exterior details and entrance gates at any time, though access to interior spaces may be restricted.

The entrance gates showcase intricate iron figures crafted by sculptor Horejc that welcome visitors at the threshold. Inside, colored glass windows along the staircase feature yellow leaves and purple flowers, echoing the botanical origins of the building's former purpose.
