Vokšice Castle

Vokšice Castle is a fortified farmstead with three single-story wings arranged in a rectangular pattern and featuring Baroque gateways. The main complex sits surrounded by auxiliary agricultural buildings that complete the estate layout.

The Šlik family developed this property into a major farmyard during the 16th century. Significant reconstruction and expansion took place between 1815 and 1835, creating the building complex visible today.

The castle layout reveals its long history as a working farm complex with storage facilities and service areas. These structures show how such estates functioned as agricultural centers in the Bohemian countryside.

The building is undergoing significant restoration work, so visitors cannot enter the interior spaces. You can view the exterior architecture and overall complex layout from the grounds around it.

An airfield sits near the castle grounds, an unexpected neighbor for this historical estate. Iron dragon sculptures dot the area and create a striking contrast with the old buildings.
