Vila zvaná Kunzova

Kunzova Villa is a three-story baroque revival building featuring a mansard roof, multiple balconies, and detailed stucco work across its facade. A corner observation terrace sits at the top, creating a distinctive architectural accent for the structure.

The villa was built in 1897 for industrialist Antonin Kunz, serving as both a private residence and company headquarters. Two prominent architects of the period, Jan Krizenecky and Josef Pokorny, designed the building.

The villa reflects how successful industrialists displayed their wealth and status through grand residential buildings. The elaborate decoration and fine details show how important it was to the owner to demonstrate his position in society.

The property sits at Trida 1. Maja 328 and is surrounded by walls with a garden on the grounds. Visitors can view the building from outside and appreciate the architectural details and the private garden setting from the street.

The company operated by the villa's owner installed water systems across more than one thousand communities and cities in the Moravia region. These infrastructure projects brought modern water supply to a vast area during a time of rapid industrial growth.
