Zámek Libějovice

Zámek Libějovice is a Renaissance fortified house in Bohemia with symmetrical gardens, fountains, and arcaded courtyards integrated throughout. The structure blends defensive features with refined Renaissance design elements.

Built in 1560 on the remains of a Gothic fortress, it underwent major renovation between 1683 and 1690 under architect Antonio della Porta. This transformation shaped its current Renaissance character.

The rooms display artwork by Italian masters Jacob Tencalla and Giuseppe Mattoni, featuring carvings and decorations of sea creatures. These pieces shape the visual character of several interior spaces.
