Stone bridge in Březnice, Stone bridge and cultural monument in Březnice, Czech Republic

The stone bridge in Březnice spans across the Skalice stream and connects two sides of the town through three arched stone spans. It carries the II/174 road and remains in active use today for both vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

The bridge was built in 1899 as part of local infrastructure development in the region. Its design incorporated architectural influences from both the Baroque and Neoclassical periods, and it was later recognized as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The bridge connects two parts of the community and is known locally as a practical landmark that people reference when giving directions. It has become a familiar part of daily life for residents who cross it regularly.

The bridge is accessible via the II/174 road and remains open to traffic year-round. Visitors can walk across it or view it from the surrounding area, with good sightlines from multiple vantage points nearby.

The bridge has maintained its original structural design for over 120 years with minimal modifications to its core construction. This makes it a rare example of engineering durability from the turn of the 20th century that still functions as built.
