Church of Saint John the Baptist in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm

The Church of Saint John the Baptist features a three-nave design with a presbytery on the east side, a sacristy to the north, and a tower on the south side.

Originally established as a Romanesque basilica in the 13th century, the church underwent major reconstruction after a fire in the 15th century, including the addition of a vestibule and spire.

The church interior contains artistic elements from different periods, including paintings by Rudolf Adamek from 1933 and an organ constructed in 1780.

The church stands at coordinates 49.546877 latitude and 18.21452 longitude, with four entryways providing access to the main structure and its various sections.

During the renovations from 1893 to 1900, the church tower was extended by 64 meters according to architect F. Schmoraz's Gothic-inspired design specifications.
