The Petr I monument in Karlovy Vary is a sandstone bust of the Russian tsar, larger than life, set on a low volute pedestal atop a rock outcrop on Petrová výšina in the spa forests. The head has richly curled hair and is bare, with a draped cloak over the shoulders; the pedestal bears the name in gilded Cyrillic. Below, a black marble plaque lists members of the Russian imperial family who visited the spa.

The sandstone bust was carved in 1877 by Prague sculptor Tomáš Seidan and placed on a rock on Petrově výšině, where Peter the Great had ridden to a wooden cross in 1712 and carved his initials. A weathered copy replaced it in 1909, and in 2011 the Russian company Tinowa Group funded a complete restoration for the 300th anniversary of the tsar's first visit. The monument has been protected as a cultural monument since 1958.

The sandstone bust stands on a rock on Petrová výšina, where Peter the Great is said to have ridden an unsaddled peasant horse to a wooden cross in 1712 and carved his initials MSPI into it. The hill was named after him, and a viewing platform was later built there. A black marble plaque below the bust lists members of the Russian imperial family who visited the spa, flanked by French and Russian poems.

The bust stands on a rock at the top of Petrová výšina in the spa forests above Karlovy Vary, reached on foot along woodland paths; the site is not in the town center. The viewing platform and the wooden cross beside the bust were restored in 2011.

The sandstone bust is not the original: the 1877 work by Thomas Seidan had weathered, and in 1909 it was replaced by a faithful sandstone copy. In 2011, for the 300th anniversary of the tsar's first arrival, a Russian company Tinowa Group funded a complete restoration costing 200,000 korunas, unveiled on 24 September 2011 during the Peter I festivities.
