The Chapel of Saint Florian is a Baroque central building with a cross-shaped plan, a dome on pendentives, and a concave main facade flanked by two diagonally placed towers. Pilasters with acanthus capitals and casement windows articulate the exterior, and a gilded cross of Saint Benedict tops the tiled roof.

Construction started in 1751 under the direction of a renowned Baroque architect. The project took over a century to complete due to funding interruptions and other building challenges.

The chapel's paintings date from its completion: Vilém Kandler painted the large main altarpiece of St. Florian with his bucket of water in 1872, plus St. Procopius and St. Benedict in the side apses. Benedict holds his Rule open with the words "Ausculta o fili"; Procopius stands above the Sázava River with the Sázava monastery behind him.

This chapel sits near Kladno's main square and is easy to reach on foot from the town center. Visitors should know that regular religious services take place here, particularly on Sundays.

The foundation stone of 1630 from the original chapel, which stood on this site, is set beneath the main altar painting of St. Florian. It bears a founding inscription and is the only surviving physical remnant of the earlier structure.
