Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary, Catholic church in Hostín u Vojkovic, Czech Republic

The Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary in Hostín u Vojkovic is a single-nave stone building with a rectangular nave and a five-sided presbytery buttressed by five supports. A square tower (5 × 5 m) is set into the south-west corner, and a Renaissance porch added in 1615 shelters the original Gothic portal with its pointed arch. The nave measures 13 × 9 m; the church stands with a separate wooden bell tower and is a protected cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

The church was already a parish church in 1290, as recorded in 1320 by Jan Volek, provost of Vyšehrad. The Gothic building was rebuilt in Renaissance style in 1615 and altered in Baroque style in the 18th century. It served as a parish church until 1678, again from 1857 to 2005, and since 2006 has been a filial church of the Neratovice parish.

The church is a filial church of the Roman Catholic parish of Neratovice in the Podřipsko vicariate of the Archdiocese of Prague, after the local parish was abolished in 2006. Its main altar, replaced in 1910, carries a painting of the Assumption by the priest Adolf Pergl; the 18th-century altarpiece hangs on the nave wall beside a side altar.

The church stands in the Hostín u Vojkovic cadastral area in the Mělník District, with the separate wooden bell tower in front of the former parish building. The cemetery around the church was used until 1824. Since the parish was dissolved in 2006 it has been a filial church of the Neratovice parish, so visits depend on services there.

The separate wooden bell tower in front of the presbytery is not the medieval one: its timbers were felled in 1712, though a bell tower stood here in the 14th century. Inside hangs the bell of St Wenceslas, cast in 1561 by Brikcí of Prague, 0.85 m tall and 1.15 m across, decorated with nine heads of amorini named after the Muses. A second bell was taken to Mladá Vožice in 1934, and a third was stolen in 2000.
